September 5th, 2002

In attendance: Rob, Michelle, Tomass, John, General Taylor, Heather, Kristine, Dawn, Josh, Colin, Kt (late)

7:38 - Meeting begins.

7:39 - Rob (and group) discusses various group activities (leaf raking, canoeing, apple thingy) while Taylor boots up the computer so records will be sketchy at best.

7:40 - Popcorn. Heather is unfamiliar with the concept of popcorn. We will sell popcorn again.

7:43 - We realize that none of the new recruits have been invested. How very silly. John is ugly.

7:44 - We need to plan our co-op camp plans uber quick in order to accommodate our canoeing plans.

7:48 - Colin gives a summary of the last year. The review is quite grim. He recommends reform. Elections, organization, pre-planning, and canoe tying skills are a priority.

7:52 - Canoe transportation and john is even uglier. Oh yes, the canoe rentals are very important as well. Colin thinks he can obtain some canoes from a troop he knows. $100/canoe for rentals. Colin will call Langford and some one else (Dawn) must call the other place, for canoes. 7:52:30 - John can't resist Tom's hot bod.

7:53 - Dawn will also look into other canoe type places.

7:54 - Cooking for canoeing discussed. Don and Dave are vegetarians, and proper stove distribution is discussed. Kt needs a new bag because her mom threw out her camping bag. We could rent one for her.

7:59 - Colin reminds us that our commitment to the canoe trip is like a blood oath. Once you sign on, you cannot skip out or incur the wrath of the group.

8:00 - We should leave on Friday night, and eat on the way and camp at the drive in spot. We will paddle out on Saturday morning. Swimming is optional, (but I encourage it).

8:03 - Colin gives us a grave reminder of the responsibility that this trip requires. Serious camping will be the name of the game.

8:05 - Colin gives us a description of the portage. The reports of it's length are greatly exaggerated. Colin gives us a vivid description of the trip. White sandy beaches line the shores, super, super, can't be bad.

8:08 - Taylor misses something, but just to give the public what they want, Tom and John suck-didilly-uck. On a lighter note, we look at first-aid.

8:10 - Kt and Dawn have the same socks. Taylor realizes that he has the same socks as them too. Taylor spends the next few minutes defending his pink socks.

8:12 - Meeting falls apart as Colin abandons the group.

8:13 - Colin returns will chair. Colin suggests that when we register for co-op camp we specify our jobs. Colin gives us "a day in the life of John".

8:16 - Colin gives John the logistics of "the recycling man!!" It's quite complicated.

8:18 - Co-op camp is Sept. 27th, 28th, 29th. John has to give his recycling project proposal in front of the jury of the damned, including such legends of Ad, Bill and Paula.

8:24 - We discuss the validity of legal marijuana. That's interesting.

8:28 - Menu planning. Colin gives us an ultimatum: improve the menu or he leaves. But Colin bought us a barbecue, so the menu is probably going to contain mostly hotdogs. Hotdogs from breakfast, hotdogs for lunch and, yes, hotdogs for dinner.

8:32 - Burnham, burns Colin. Ha! I made a funny!!

8:36 - Tom want's the venturers to dye their hair. Colour seems to bring about controversy though.

8:39 - Discussion arises around Taylor's ravishing goatee. Yes, it's ravishing, despite the inane driveling of a bunch of loathsome non-creative garbage.

8:46 - Kt and John seem to be getting friendly. From this secretary's limited view, it appears that she is in his lap.

8:50 - Girl's make-up is discussed. Most of the group (at least the better half) is left out of this discussion.

8:58 - Chaotic cat fight, with an innocent hacky-sack in the balance.

9:00 - Burgers, shishkabob, Coke, pirogues, stir-fry, chicken extra, smores, Coke, real Oatmeal, apples, Kristine doesn't listen, coffee grinds, Coke,.

9:06 - Kt to get permission forms for camp. Have all money and forms for next week. The all leaders meeting happens not this Sunday, but next Sunday, John seems to be already going (before the damned if you recall) so it seems that we are covered.

9:08 - Meeting adjourned.
