September 19th, 2002

In attendance: Colin, Rob, Dawn, Josh, Kt, General Taylor, Tom, Mike, Kristine, John, Heather, Michelle.

7:30 - Meeting begins.

7:41 - Colin tries to rally the troops and get us psyched to get the camps planned this meeting.

7:44 - General Taylor (now a saint in the eyes of the troop) saves the day by bringing in a website of canoeing.

7:46 - General Taylor gives a vivid description of the route to the Kawarthas. Colin gives a brief and not very vivid (at least compared to the General) description of the route.

7:48 - Save your maps!! It shows our exact route that we will paddle, for emergency needs.

7:50 - The group tries to dole out tents, to evenly space out the partying.

7:56 - Tom gives us his scientific calculations for the canoe route, 7km. The General takes a look at it and corrects Tom saying that the actual length is 10km. The General's results are verified on the computer.

7:58 - We plan out coordinates on the map, for our canoe route. Algebra is fun!!!

8:05 - The high profile secretary goes over last weeks minutes. We go over the menu. Kristine, make'm da cookies!!!

8:07 - Ristar (Taylor in elfish) tells Colin about the difference between Coffee and Cappuccino. We have a great debate over the colour of apples.

8:17 - 10 minutes later…still arguing about the menu. It appears that no matter what combination of food, at least one person will not eat it.

8:20 - We go over the supplies for the camp. Colin to pick up some specific supplies for the camp.

8:23 - Rob orginizes the health forms. Once hole punched, they will be updated.

8:24 - Kristine gives us a vivid description of a stalker. We need to organize vehicles. 13 people, odd numbered. Someone needs to go solo, or put three in a canoe. Looks like we will put up with three. That's six canoes. We are covered for vehicles.

8:29 - We should get a thank you gift for the Baliseses(???). We calculate how many canoe's we need to rent. We need to locate 3 canoes. Tumble Home cannot guarantee canoes for rental. Does everyone have lifejackets? No? Get one!!!.

8:32 - We need to get a sleeping bag for Kristine. Her big fat bag is too big for our big fat trip.

8:34 - Ooooooohhhh!!! Kristine and Kt gang up Heather. Her crime only being to help advance the group in the meeting. For shame.

8:36 - We once again tackle the tent conundrum. (see 7:50). Looks like we are covered. Kristine want's to make a 13 person tent. Taylor gives the idea greater viability by suggesting to put the trees through the tent rather than build around them.

8:39 - John has no fly. John can't tell the difference between humming and whistling. John really sucks…no seriously. One a scale of 1 - 10 on suckyness, John is infinity plus 4.

8:42 - Back to tent issues, unfortunately Kristine's 3 season tent does not cover fall. Dropping leaves will rip it to shreds. Look's like we are now covered on Tents.

8:47 - Kristine…check your e-mail junk folder. No, right now. Don't even read another word of this until you check it….are you still here??? Screw you. Get checking right now. I'm serious here. OK….this is you last chance. Check now!!!

8:49 - Check with you parents to find out when a parent meeting would be good.

8:50 - Kristine, Heather and Kt need to get set up a meeting just to check their supreme packing skills. Wednesday looks like the go date for that.

8:52 - Everyone will receive the all the canoeing information from Colin via e-mail. Give the map and information to your parents and please direct their questions to Colin.

8:57 - Heather thinks Johns bum is distracting.

8:58 - Should we go all veggie??? Well, I really, really like meat and don't like to give it up, but it looks like the majority has the all veggie on it's side.

8:59 - Lou will go shopping for co-op (what a gal!!) People who arrive next week will get gear organized for the camp. Yes that's right, while you party and dance and will do the hard work.

9:02 - We NEED to get the menu planned for the canoe camp. Looks like the best thing to do will be to e-mail around the menu's.

9:12 - Co-op camp will be the beta test run menu for the canoe camp.
