November 14th, 2002
In attendance: General Taylor, Kristine, Colin, Rob, Mike, Michelle, Heather, Dawn, John(late), Kt (horribly late), Tom (horrendously late and scorned by the group)
7:44 - Meeting begins.
7:45 - Leaf raking discussed. John isn't man enough to get a $2.00 hooker. We need everyone there. Both Saturday and Sunday are a go.
7:48 - We are looking to do a silent auction with sports memorabilia. Who in the group would have a link to get us some?? I suggest a basket ball signed by Mats Sundin.
7:50 - Christmas cake sale went well. We are still going strong on the cakes mysteriously, considering the sale ended on the weekend. It looks like we made a good $700.00. We didn't need to give the church commission from our sales so we are going to give them a $50 thank you to the church.
7:56 - Michelle gives us the lowdown on the budget. Every one should bring in an idea to rake in some dough.
8:00 - Mike to call Bobby D's to book us some pool tables for our Christmas party on Dec 13th.
8:02 - Nov 22nd. We need rides, I can try to get the van and so will Rob. Heather will not attend a meeting in one month (just thought I'd add that).
8:05 - Building adarondak at the camp. Lets think of some fun beaver games. Kristine is in charge of the games.
8:09 - Idea's for investiture. We suggest telling deep dark secrets to seal the membership deal. Argument breaks out over the Scout Promise. Investiture brews down to a fire, scout law and promise, story time, some flag stuff…uh, and a few other little details…
8:13 - Permission form stuff. Rob suggests a $15 fee will suffice.
8:16 - Dec. 3rd Hamilton camp. We seem to be interested so it looks like something we will pursue.
8:17 - 1st weekend of February is district winter camp. We running the dog sled race (oh, grammar me good!). The theme is Aloha Ice Jam!!
8:19 - The large camping project we want to pursue…John suggests Algonquin. Kristine can't keep dates and times straight. John shall send out an e-mail for what places we want to go to.
8:21 - John is lazy. Competition camp is the 25th, 26th, 27th of the Aprilth month. We have the majority of Mannitoo at our disposal. What theme do we want to judge the participants this year? Last year was teamwork, this year I suggest selfishness. Kt suggests gagging kids for a fun game…sounds fun.
8:25 - We discuss how to market badges on ass kissing. We feel we could have the next pokemon on our hands.
8:27 - We need a set evaluation level this year instead of just leaving it up to judgment. You will be marked the same regardless of rain, tornado's or an impeding apocalypse.
8:29 - What venturer groups do we want to help with camp?? Thinking up games on trust for the camp will be good.
8:31 - Lets go out an do something to help cool down from the busy fundraising schedule. Tom will investigate paintball.
8:32 - Website review. The vultures circle. Everyone bring in pictures. Finds maps.
8:35 - Dawn is starting an area youth form. Specific input for different groups so we get what the youth (or some adults) want. We need a person to represent da group.
8:38 - Colin will be judging at the world championship rock, paper scissors. He is apparently an expert.
7:41 - Colin gives his lord of the rings speech. John's mom is a crook, she has been stealing from the movie companies for years. We plan to start a line up at the theater.
8:45 - 15 minute menu!
8:58 - Just thought I would add that GENERAL Taylor is the best. He certainly isn't named cookie or cookie bags. Kt is very funny cause she thinks anyone can do the job of secretary. John gives Kristine a wet willy.
9:01 - Meeting adjourned.
