January 16th, 2003
In attendance: Mike, Heather, Rob, Michelle, John, Taylor, Kristine, Dawn, Tom, Colin (late)
7:30 - Meeting begins.
7:31 - Taylor recounts the minutes.
7:40 - Fund raising discussed. Everyone needs to ask parents about stuff they can get donated from work.
7:41 - John (sucks) gives us a little difference comaparison between Algonquin and Bronte. The group chooses Algonquin to camp at due to a wider source of information.
7:42 - Dawn will go out to get some more marking tape for the dog sled course at winter camp.
7:44 - Michelle gives us a count of who still owes her money for the treasury. If you owe money you better pay out or we'll get some hired goons to pass your way.
7:45 - Taylor to drive shopping Heather will too join with him to get that thing….whoops Rob slips out of our space time continuum and goes forward one week into the future. So note to Taylor, you go shopping not next week but the week after.
7:47 - Tasty winter camp menu is discussed. The return of Taylor's famous cookies are imminent, but without butter this time. Kristine to get some sweet ass chocolate muffins. John sucks again….Eggs for some….oversized foam novelty fingers for others.
7:53 - Should we cook with 15th Burlington??? Looks like we will finalize our menu and then if 15th likes our selection we will join with them for meals. This avoids us having to coordinate our menu with theirs. What kind of fruit do we want?? Taylor suggests a tasty apple, but Colin is adamant to have a crappy apple.
7:59 - Kristine removes a thorn from Taylor's side. Colin makes a revelation that we should keep a standard menu to base each camps menu on. He is shunned for idea's. Kristine wants to use pesticide on carrots. Taylor is NOT a rutabaga. Colin passes around the mono baklava. Cherry pie and apple crisp is on the menu for dessert.
8:07 - Kristine wants to cook our breakfast in a filthy pot. Apparently this gives the food it's appeal. Taylor and Kristine ARE NOT married, nor old and, with the exception of Kristine, are NOT fat.
8:10 - Colin gives a definitive "Wohoo!" when he learns that Taylor will be providing cookie sustenance at the next camp.
8:11 - Riveting debate over how the proper way to "Dot" your I's. Long story short, Taylor is right, everyone else is wrong.
8:12 - We will all meet at the church in the morning on Friday to go up to the camp, but first we shall have a first class breakfast.
8:13 - Movie night is shortly discussed. Everything seems on track.
8:17 - Sex and debauchery in children's entertainment is discussed. It is revealed that John painstakingly reviews cartoons frame by frame to find the hidden sex messages to satisfy his perverted desires.
8:19 - Going to the zoo in May…that's it.
8:20 - Colin says that the first aid thing will go out onto the 8th and 9th of Feb. Do we wish to pursue. 12 are needed for a course.
8:21 - Tom found us a great Go-Kart course in PEI. Tom gives us an account of possible events for the group to shoot for. It is suggest that pouty Kristine take a time out. It is discovered that most of the group has yet to go to Maple Leaf Gardens…for shame. Colin suggests that we plan our own laser night dealy. This garners much intrigue. Toms buggers off and abandons the group…for school!
8:28 - Rappelling, we need to make a decision if we want to just go up for the evening or camp for the day?? It's April 12th.
8:30 - Games night is discussed. What date is good? March 28th sounds like the date for us.
8:36 - Parents meeting for the 19th is on….7pm at the church.
8:37 - Treasury report…nothing new. A few woody checks will be distributed. Everyone get your damn money in. John you own $50 dollars. Michelle will keep track of banking at Competition camp.
8:39 - Taylor remember Heather's pictures. John will take one for the team by going to the Feb 5th area youth meeting.
8:41 - This just in! The district area commissioner is great!!!!
8:43 - Next week's meeting will feature a stirring winter camp gear list review. I can't wait.
8:45 - We try to shift around carefully laid plans all to satisfy John's whims. John seeks to plan babies winter camp instead of ours.
8:50 - We try to figure us out a may trip…..many possible ideas are….well, possible. Kristine want's us to spend a camp with her grandma…now isn't that the coolest!! Camping….with your grandma!!! And she's serious too!!!
8:57 - We royally screw with John's computer…..oh, and sailing for our May ordeal is discussed. Heather wants an ice box…remember that for next christmas. John comes back after trying to convince the scouts to allow him to run a winter camp.
