February 27th, 2003

In attendance: Dawn, Colin, Taylor, Michelle, John, Kristine, Mike, Heather, Josh(late), Tom(late)

7:40 - Meeting begins.

7:41 - Taylor recounts last weeks minutes.

7:53 - The hot chocolate fundraising dealy is discussed. Whether the group wishes to pursue this course of action. There are quite a few hitches keeping us back on it. The time of year is not ideal and it is feared that we will not make back a big return do to the high price of the hot chocolate. Tom motions to sell the popcorn, and John seconds. The motion passes so well have to start selling right away cause this event has already started late.

7:59 - The group attempts to use Taylor's brother for their own advantage. Heather was in the hospital last year…the garners a large laugh.

8:02 - Mike's puppy is looked at. We look at who will be there during the August long weekend so we can begin to plan on whether or not we'll need to get other groups. Colin motions to invite the scouts, Heather seconds the motion and the motion passes quite easily in the group. Work with the scouts will be split up by labour hours.

8:05 - While beating himself up over whether or not Taylor will be around during the August long weekend, he realizes that he's not even in the group next year so it really doesn't matter.

8:06 - A draft schedule for the august weekend should be drafted.

8:09 - The theme for comp camp shall be "Escape from Monster Island". Campy names can be made up for the same games we are using so we don't have to change anything. The man hunt game shall be replaced with…something?? A first aid adventure seems to be something to do. Walk into the scouts sites and fake an emergancy and get the scouts to treat you. Taylor suggests having Kristine go into labour for the first aid.

8:14 - We need to get some badge ideas in for next we that will reflect our Monster Island theme.

8:15 - The BIG trip is looked at. Kristine has some sort of uncle or something who seems to know a thing or two about mountain travel so she'll look into it. Right now Hiking has a running lead on the activities. Right now it seems the main ordeal is just to figure out where to go hiking!!! Tom motions to make it official for Hiking. Kristine seconds the motion and it passes. Dawn will e-mail all of the destinations out so we can figure out where we want to go hiking.

8:25 - Everyone will research one (or possibly two) area's so we can narrow down where we really want to go. Kristine is ordered to hit John, and order she happily accepts and carries out with precision.

8:29 - Wants to go camping with her aunt now….first grandma, and now her aunt…when will it stop!!!

8:30 - John status on his winter camp is at a standstill from last week. He needs to get going on his trip plans.

8:32 - April 5th is the laser tag night and march 28th is the scouts games night and every thing seems to going fine.

8:33 - Kristine yanks out…the forms for the "bring a friend camp".

8:34 - Michelle gives us her treasury rftgihyh,nlio6u79 (*that was Krisinte's best attempt at stealing the minutes from me….makes you kinda grateful of what you already have doesn't it??)…People still owe money. Michelle asks where the money from the first aid went and it is found out that Colin has the money…and a nice new shirt which makes us quite suspicious.

8:38 - Tom gives us a party report. Pla(no y)dium is quite expensive and seems to be a no go then for the group.

8:40 - Taylor gives, yet another, riveting secretary report. As John's training as secretary Taylor sends him out to find us a site to call our own for the website.

8:42 - The bring a friend to camp is May 23rd from 7:00 to 1:00 on May 25th.
