January 29th, 2004

Attendance: Heather, Michelle, Dawn, Colin, Jodie, Sarah, Jackie, Leah, Kristine, John

7:40- John reads over last week’s minutes. We then talk about portnelsonventurers.com’s virus problem. We then extend our discussion globally to other viruses people have had.

7:46- John’s bitter towards Kristine about her incompatence. John has to give $50 as his deposit. If Mary isn’t able to be our leader we’re going to have to look at other people.

7:51- Colin has to send Michelle the latest website invoice.

7:52- We’re not doing the bottle drive because we don’t have enough people, I hope you’re happy! We may do one after May 24.

7:53- No matter what we’re going camping snow moot weekend, even if we don’t go to snow moot.

7:58- Tom arrives, Lou talks to us about tonight and the rules and regulations.

7:59- We MUST get this food barrel thing done. EVERYONE must ask around, no matter what. Jodie and Jackie wil do grocery stores in Burlington, Heather will do Voortman’s, Tom will do Costco, Coca-Cola, John will do Walker’s Chocolates, Dawn’s got the school cafeteria, Michelle has Pilsbury, Sarah will do Robin Hood’s Flour, Colin will e-mail Paula because she works at some food place other things are Maple Leafs, Tim Horton’s. Kristine wil make the pilot script.

8:13- Heather motions that the theme for Comp Camp will be Escape from Monster Island, John seconds, it wins. Heather will email Dave about the badge design. We will buy monster costumes for it. Heather motions that the 3rd year cubs and 3rd year guides, will come up for the Saturday. We talk about top secret stuff.

8:27- KT will look for the monkey plan.

8:37- On Monday we are meeting at Bronte for the Pathfinder skating, 7-9, $1.50 for childs, $2.50 for adults. Cub skating is Feb 24th, at approx. 6:30.

8:43- We need to get money into the different organizations for the big trip. We need to get a meeting together for only Big trip. When everyone is looking for maps focus on Maple Mountain because that’s our main thing. The Big Trip meeting will be next next week (the 12th). We have to get all action items done.

8:52- March 5-7 will be our Winter Camp if Snow Moot goes through. If Snow Moot does not work out that will be the Winter Camp. April 3rd is the pool training session for canoe camp.

8:56- Colin tells Kt you will have to do a permission form prior to canoe camp.

8:58- Colin and Kristine will look at possible dates for practice canoe and hiking.

8:59- There is a CN Tower Event that they are asking Venturers to help out.

9:00- Bill tells us about a new Rover crew forming, there is a meeting febuary 8th, 7:30, at scout house.
